More outdoor activities/playing

This weekend and yesterday took us outdoors a lot. Tina and I started out the weekend by heading out to a rather large community yard sale. The first place we stopped at obviously had twins as they had pairs of just about everything they were selling. I got this nice car seat
since Lindsey will be coming home next week with Brie and she has outgrown the infant car seat. How could that have happened? The car seat was really clean and they even had the owner's manual tucked behind the straps. That is one organized family to have the manuals and be able to retreive them and include them with a yard sale item. Impressed.

After the yard saleing, we headed over to Patty's house for a picnic she was hosting for our quilt group. I am so mad at myself for not taking any photos there. She and her husband live out in the "deep woods" and have a wonderful home. Very quiet and surrounded by wildlife. Peaceful.

Sunday was spent with church, family and then preparing for Monday morning's fabric dyeing workshop. Which brings us to Monday. First of all during the night we had a very strong thunder storm about 2 AM. It woke me up sounding like it was right over head. I began to pray that the storm would quickly move through as I did not want to cancel our workshop and being an outdoor's workshop we had to have decent weather. It was a good while before it stopped but when morning came around it looked like it was going to be a glorious day, and it was, not too hot, no rain, just right.

Here are some photos from the workshop.

I was so busy that I didn't get a lot more photos. I am going to have to try to get a designated photographer next time.

We are off to our son and daughter-in-law's home now for a few days so I am not sure that I will get to post anything over the next few days. So have a great week just in case and take some time to enjoy the great outdoors.

By the way, it never rained at our house yesterday even though just as we were cleaning up we could feel the rain blowing in. When Tina was going home she called me to say that just 4 miles away it was raining. See, God is good and He is good all the time.

Truely a beautiful day. Im so glad to see people who actually get into the projects. I think we should come up with a boobie prize for the person who leaves with the cleanest hands. Like a really UGLY piece of fabric... We will have to add that to the list for next time.
